It was 2 years ago that we realized traditional school was not going to work for our daughter. She was suffering from depression and anxiety which manifested itself as migraines and other physical ailments. The problem with brick and mortar schools are that they will not work with students who miss alot of days during the year. Their truancy policies overshadow the health of their students. They did offer some virtual classes but they were not at the academic level of my daughter. She was bored, frustrated and failing.
One of our ex Vice Principals highly recommended 21st Century. We went to a summer orientation and were impressed. My daughter has been with them for 3 years and will graduate in 2022. It is learning on her schedule. Having a bad day? No problem… just resume working tomorrow.
The best part is the constant contact with teachers, counselors and an Academic Advisor. Encouraging words, help with lessons, advice on courses and support from every angle. 21st Century has been a life changing experience for our daughter.
