MTSS
21CCCS implements a proactive, data-informed Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to address student needs early and effectively. This tiered framework offers academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support, ensuring each student receives personalized help when it’s needed most. Through collaboration and a focus on equity, we foster student engagement and drive meaningful, lasting success for every learner.
The Academic Advisors
Our academic advisors track your student’s classes and communicate with them on a regular basis to ensure they are receiving guidance and instruction where needed.
Some great benefits that result from the relationships developed between students and academic advisors are consistency and collaboration. The academic advisor will work with your student throughout their studies here at 21CCCS. Knowing a student over the years enhances academic success through consistency of instructional, communication, and assistance styles. Students have the opportunity to share their learning experiences with dedicated professionals who provide feedback on a regular basis.
Student Assistance Program
A team of school staff who aim to identify students with academic barriers, including mental health concerns and alcohol and drug issues. The Student Assistance Team is comprised of a group of trained teachers, school counselors, social workers, the nurse, and administrators who strive to provide support to students “at risk.”
Safe2Say
At 21CCCS, the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority. Through the Safe2Say Something program, students, families, and community members can confidentially report concerns related to bullying, threats, or any potentially harmful behavior. This statewide initiative, run by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, empowers individuals to speak up and help prevent violence or unsafe situations before they happen. We encourage all members of our school community to use this resource to help keep our learning environment safe and supportive for everyone.
McKinney-Vento Act
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act provides school stability for your student if you do not have a permanent home and are:
- Staying with friends or family because you lost housing.
- Living in a shelter, including transitional programs.
- Staying in motels because you cannot get your own home.
- Living on the streets, in a car, van, tent or other nonpermanent structure.
