Welcome to 21CCCS’s Middle School! I am so happy to have you with us and excited to begin this journey together. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another great year, know that you are an important part of our school community.
Middle school is a time of discovery, growth, and opportunity. It is a chance to explore new subjects, make new friends, and challenge yourself. Our teachers, academic advisors, and administrators are dedicated to helping you succeed academically, socially, and personally and are here to support you every step of the way. We believe in you, and we’re looking forward to seeing the amazing things you will accomplish.

Middle School at 21CCCS: Building Strong Foundations for Future Success
Middle school plays a vital role in a student’s educational journey, acting as a bridge between elementary school and high school. At 21st Century Cyber Charter School, students in grades 6–8 experience a flexible, personalized middle school program that blends engaging online coursework with live instruction from certified teachers. We recognize that middle school is a pivotal time for growth, and 21CCCS is committed to creating a supportive environment where students can explore their interests, build confidence, and prepare for a successful transition into high school. Our goal is to equip students with the academic foundation and personal skills they need to thrive in the next stage of their education.
School Day Expectations
21CCCS supports students in developing strong, consistent habits for success. While our learning model offers flexibility, there are important expectations that every student is expected to follow. Students are expected to log in each day school is in session for their daily attendance, participate in live classes, and log into the middle school virtual office (VO) for help. Regular check-in meetings with their Academic Advisor are expected, and completing assignments on time is required. Students must also complete a weekly camera check to comply with state law. Staying engaged and connected helps students get the most out of their learning, sets them up for success, and ensures they are supported every step of the way.

Our middle school staff is committed to the success of every student and values open communication with both students and families. We believe in working together to support each learner at every stage of their educational journey. Every student is paired with a dedicated Academic Advisor — someone who provides support throughout the school year. Advisors take the time to build strong connections with students and help them work toward their goals. If you have specific questions about one of your student’s classes, the best person to contact is the teacher of that class. Our staff is accessible by phone or email and is committed to providing timely and helpful responses. At 21CCCS, we make sure students feel supported and encouraged so they can reach their full potential.
Library
21CCCS’s online library gives students convenient access to a wide range of books and resources anytime, anywhere. With just a few clicks, they can explore fiction, nonfiction, and reference materials that support their learning and personal interests. This digital access helps promote reading, research, and independent learning, especially for students who may not be able to visit a physical library regularly. Be sure to check the library out and take advantage of all it has to offer!

Students can learn from anywhere at 21CCCS! Our cutting-edge, easy-to-use technology makes online learning simple and accessible. Every middle school student enrolled at 21CCCS is provided with the tools they need to succeed, including: a MacBook with a charger, calculator, required textbooks (print, digital, or both, depending on the course), and course-specific kits, when applicable.
Helpful Extras for a Great Learning Environment
While 21CCCS provides all the essential materials for coursework, a few additional items from home can help students stay organized and focused: a dedicated distraction-free workspace, folders or binders for organizing materials, notebooks or loose-leaf paper, writing supplies such as pens, pencils, and highlighters, and headphones to help cut down on background noise. With these simple tools, our middle school students are ready for a successful learning experience—no matter where they are!
Middle School Schedules
Each school day begins with homeroom, which serves as the starting point of the day where announcements are shared and students can connect with their peers.
Live classes are held at scheduled times throughout the week, providing students with the opportunity to engage in real-time direct instruction and interact with both their teachers and classmates. Attending live classes is an important part of a student’s success and is expected. If a student is absent from school, they are expected to watch the live class recording and make up any missed work.
When students are not in a live class, they are expected to be logged into the Middle School Virtual Office to complete their work. Whether they have questions or need help with an assignment, we’re here to support them.
